[Q&A]

Q. When do you feel happy?

준수: Right now, since I'm doing what I wanted to do

택연: When I'm having dinner with my parents or singing aloud on a concert encore stage while looking into the fans' eyes

닉쿤: When I feel that I got a trully wonderful family, and when I take the stage alongside my members to perform. I've always thought myself a lucky person, therefore I'm always happy

우영: When I'm dancing

준호: On the way back home from a schedule, the music plays in the van, and I hear the laughter of other members...that's when I feel happy

찬성: When I'm on the stage with other 2PM members

Q. What is your color?

준수: Red, the color of my passion

택연: A deep blue? Indigo. Although it is not an easily removable color, I'd like to be tinged with different hues

닉쿤: Red. I really like the color

우영: Blue. It has the image of an aggressive youth who isn't afraid to face a challenge

준호: Transparent color. The color that can tinge itself with any color

찬성: Transparent color. The color that can absorb any color

Q. What kind of words do you like hearing from the opposite sex?

준수: I like hearing baby-talks, such as "play with me~"

택연: I haven't got any in particular..maybe, "oppa?"

닉쿤: "You're a nice guy." (when he was asked if he doesn't get it all the time;) I can't be a nice guy all the time! LOL

우영: "You're a responsible man," or "you're manly."

준호: "It feels so good to be with you"

찬성: Straightforward words that makes me understand that she likes me

Q. What makes you find a woman attractive?

준수: When she runs her fingers through her hair

택연: If she has got something that I don't have

닉쿤: When she is being her true self. I prefer a natural look to an overly made-up style

우영: When I see her fully focused on doing something

준호: It depends on the person. I get attracted by one's general aura rather than a specific independent aspect

찬성: Although I do get attracted by outer appearances as well, I prefer getting to know someone better through conversation

Q. Make three wishes

준수: I wanna make a lot of good songs!! I wish for a tireless body! I wish it was already December cuz I can hardly wait to meet our Japan fans on the arena tour!

택연: Since I'm on a diet now, I wish I could eat what I like as much as I want! I wanna have donkotsu ramen! I wanna perform live at Tokyo Dome!

닉쿤: I wish for health, Thailand's quick recovery from the floods, and a free time

우영: I wish for a trip with my family, a trip with my members, and a trip on my own

준호: I need the power to execute anything I do to perfection! I need supernatural powers! I wanna sweep the Oricon charts!

찬성: Just the sound of it makes me happy. I wish I was given ten hours of time free of work per day. And make friends with Doraemon. And..let's see, what else..

[Hand-written messages]

준수: Please show lots of love to my song, "Hanareteitemo."

택연: Japan fans! Let's go out and play with me! Meow~

닉쿤: Always stay healthy+happy~

우영: 2PM will always give its utmost! Join us on our journey^o^ Thank you as always and I love you~

준호: It's a beautiful Japanese woman, indeed~

찬성: Through your support, we can work the stage!!^^ Thank you as always^-^

2PM's first regular album in Japan, "Republic of 2PM" to be released on November 30th. With the nationwide arena tour in December coming ahead, we had an exclusive interview with 2PM!

- It has been a year since your first showcase in Japan. How do you recall the event?

준호: The sight of Ryogoku Kokugikan - the venue of "2PM 1st Contact in Japan," filled with lightsticks shining bright in the same color is still vivid in my head

우영: We started off green, however this past year's experience abroad has helped us grow and we appreciate the opportunity very much

- You've been roaming around the entire continent of Asia for a year now. It must have been pretty tough for you..

찬성: I could overcome all the hardships and fatigues because many people including our fans, other members, family and staff were always there for me!

- What's your first regular Japan album, "Republic of 2PM" like?

닉쿤: It is an album full of variety ranging from sensuous songs to ballads. You would be able to discover a different side of 2PM. I also recommend you Junsu's song

- Your first arena tour in Japan is drawing close. What are your expectations for the tour?

닉쿤: I'm a bit nervous because it is our first time to hold concerts in such large-scale venues. But at the same time I'm pretty excited and very much looking forward to it!

준수: I hope one day 2PM would be able to make music that appeals to men and women of all ages alike. I'd also like to perform live in a bigger venue, the Tokyo Dome, for instance..it's my dream!

택연: I'd like to present people a more upgraded version of 2PM on the tour. In order to do that, we'll have to practice harder. In addition, since 2PM has a strong image of beastly idol, I hope to show a softer side of us.

찬성: I won't stop until I reach the top of the mountain!

"I had some trouble following the up-tempo rap parts while I was recording "Crazy In Love" and "Ummei(Destiny)," recalls Nichkhun. His favorite track in "Republic of 2PM" is none other than "Hanareteitemo(Even If We are Apart)," written by Junsu. Nichkhun adds, "since it's a song Junsu wrote for the fans, singing this song warms my heart and makes me proud." Since he is interested both in music and acting, Nichkhun dreams of making his own music some day and playing the protagonist in a film.

우영

Wooyoung's favorite track in the new album is "Stay with me." "When I listen to a new song, I picture in my mind a live performance stage of the song. And I thought this song would be just the right kind for our fans to sing along with us," spoken like a true professional, Wooyoung's passion for stage is second to none. A serious-eyed Wooyoung says, "if I get an opportunity, I'd like to try acting both in Japan and Korea. Becoming a hard-working singer/actor is my goal."

준호

2PM, already a mega-star in Asia, is exanding its career in Japan. "The Japan debut was our "reset" button in that we engaged ourselves in it as if we were beginners in the business," says Junho. Highly skilled in both dancing and singing, Junho has ambitions to transcend genres; "2PM is not just a mere dance group. Just like how we've challenged the ballad genre in our latest album, I want to try out other genres of music, including rock or band musics."

준수

A standout among the new tracks on the album, the words and the music of "Hanareteitemo(Even If We are Apart)" are both written by Junsu. Junsu tells how it all started: "A couple of years ago, when I was in the van on the way to our provincial schedule, a melody suddenly crossed my mind, and I immediately recorded it on my cellphone. In fact, the original title of the song is "Munduek(Suddenly)." LOL" His personal goal regarding musical activity is making Japanese artists sing songs he wrote. Is there anything else he wishes to do besides music? "I'd like to open a deokbokki restaurant!" Really Junsu?!

택연

"We've been referred to by many as Asia's #1 or the beastly idols, and our Japan activities made us fully realize that we are being active in Asia," Taecyeon looks back on the year 2011. It will only get busier for him in the upcoming year thanks to the shooting of Fuji TV drama, "99 Days of Me & My Star." Despite repeatedly lamenting on the tight schedules, he never loses his smile and cheerfulness. "I'd like to host a late-night radio show some time," confesses Taecyeon. Looking very much forward to hear his "good night" on the radio.

Answered all questions in Japanese! His script of TBS drama, "Kaito Royale," packed with his hiragana conversion of kanji words, has got barely any white space left on it. "Japan is the first country for us to officially debut using the local language. We'll work harder to become a success in Japan to everyone's eyes," says a humble Chansung. "Our goal is to satisfy those coming to the arena tour with a quality stage!" declares Chansung!
